PU leather & PVC leather
There are a few different types of faux leather, each with its own set of pros and cons.
Polyurethane (PU) faux leather is the most common type of faux leather. It’s made from a polymer that’s coated with a plastic film. PU faux leather is often used in bags&cases, upholstery, clothing, and accessories. It’s relatively durable and easy to care for, but it’s not as breathable as true leather and may crack or peel over time.
Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) faux leather is made from a polymer that’s coated with a plastic film. It’s the most durable type of faux leather, so it’s often used in upholstery, car interiors, and other high-wear applications. However, PVC faux leather is not as breathable as true leather as well and may contain harmful chemicals.
Faux leather is a versatile material that can be used in a variety of applications. It’s important to choose the right type of faux leather for your project, based on your needs and budget.
